Play. Push. Repeat.
Full courts, real coaching, no competition pressure. For juniors aged 10 and above who are ready for the real game. Some kids leave competition and wonder if they still love tennis. Yellow Stage answers that question fast.
Yellow Stage is the natural step up from Hot Shots Green at Evolve. Full courts, standard balls, coaching that takes their game seriously, without a tournament in sight. Whether your child is stepping up from Green Stage for the first time, or stepping back from competition, they'll find a group that fits.
After something more competitive? Junior Performance Squads is our assessment-based program for players who want to train with purpose and compete in Tennis West pennants. Learn more about Junior Performance Squads.

What is yellow stage?
Serious coaching with zero pressure to compete.
This is where modified equipment disappears and real tennis begins. Full courts, standard balls, coaching focused on technique, match-play tactics and the kind of consistency that makes the game satisfying.
It's not a program with one destination. Some Yellow Stage players develop a taste for competition and move into squads. Others play term after term because it's the right level, the right group and the right amount of tennis. Both are completely fine here.
Coaching adapts to whoever is in the group. Pushing those who want to be pushed, supporting those finding their feet on full-size courts for the first time.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Every session: technique, live play, real coaching.
Sessions run 45 or 90 minutes depending on the day. Technique, drills, then match play in a low-stakes environment. Five or six players per court keeps the coaching personal, not broadcast.
What a term looks like
Eight sessions per term. A structure that builds.
Yellow Stage follows the same eight-week framework used across all Evolve junior programs, applied at full-court level with a focus on match-ready skills throughout.
The pathway
Where Yellow Stage sits in the pathway.
Completing Hot Shots Green opens two paths, and the right one depends on what your child wants from tennis.
